to small scientific props... |
for the TV and film industry. |
I have been designing and building specialist props for TV programs for 7 years. I come from a woodworking background, having served an apprenticeship as a Joiner/Carpenter at a Shipyard in Barrow-in-Furness. After 5 years of Art training, specialising in Animation, I entered the media industry. I have a broad knowledge of most construction and engineering techniques and have worked on many groundbreaking and influential TV shows. Here is a collection of photos of my most recent builds. |
Building of large props with special effects in mind. |
Reconstruction of Egyptian burial boat. It wasn't necessarily supposed to float, but it did, just! Experimental Archaeology. |
A set of electrical kitchen utensils, for a food show with a difference! The future of food preparation? |
A concrete dome, formed around a huge rubber ball. Experts told me it wouldn't work, I was always certain it would! |
Ancient Roman Crane, over 6m high. The load is130kgs and the crane is bending more than it looks. I was worried!
